Jameson Black Barrel is a special blend of Jameson Irish Whiskey, made with aged double-distilled spirits and matured in deep charred oak barrels. The result is a smoother, richer whiskey with a complex taste. Jameson Black Barrel is perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks.
Jameson Black Barrel (AKA Small Batch) is a super release from Jameson, with a high proportion of Irish pot still whiskey as well as small-batch grain. The result is an increased body and level of richness when compared to the core expression. It's aged in double charred first-fill bourbon casks (black barrels). Well worth a look...
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 28 02 2025, while stock lasts.
Rich and fruity with notes of tropical fruits, coconut, nectarines in yoghurt, guava and a thick core of sweet cereals.
Thick and full on the palate, with an intense, unctuous creaminess, alongside dates, walnuts and peels. Good peach and coconut notes, and a little cinnamon.
Long finish, and very fruity with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg and hints of potpourri.
This is my go to budget Irish whiskey. $35 in my market. Better than standard Jameson and better than Bushmills white label. Not as flavorful and older Irish bottlings or more sophisticated finishes or multiple cask whiskies that add complexity, but solid and a great gift bottle for bourbon drinkers and scotch drinkers if you want to give a bottle of Irish that won't break the bank.
I tried teeling small batch, jameson ipa, jameson black barrel, bushmills black bush, bushmills 10, jameson stout, back to back in the same night. I am surprized by bad comments. I am not expert, but clearly this is the tastiest one which matters most. Bushmills 10 is the smoothest. I also liked stout and black bush a lot.
Well take the positive first its dead cheap and decent. My palate finds this drink a little dull, but im obviously in minority here.
I'm a died in the wool Jamesons drinker. Mix it with nothing a drink it neat in chilled glasses. I keep my whiskey in the fridge at 40°F. My go to is Black Barrel. What a smooth tasting Irish Whiskey with subtle oak and sweet caramel notes. When I sit down in the evening it caps off my day. When having drinks with friends and or family it just fits like a favorite old jacket that make me comfortable. I Suggest it to anyone that loves their whiskey and have happily converted bourbon drinkers.
Wonderfully smooth with delayed hints of vanilla. I dont like smokey whiskey so this is perfect. This whiskey is so nice it almost drinks itself. Punches well above its price in my opinion
