Jameson Black Barrel is a special blend of Jameson Irish Whiskey, made with aged double-distilled spirits and matured in deep charred oak barrels. The result is a smoother, richer whiskey with a complex taste. Jameson Black Barrel is perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks.
Jameson Black Barrel (AKA Small Batch) is a super release from Jameson, with a high proportion of Irish pot still whiskey as well as small-batch grain. The result is an increased body and level of richness when compared to the core expression. It's aged in double charred first-fill bourbon casks (black barrels). Well worth a look...
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 28 02 2025, while stock lasts.
Rich and fruity with notes of tropical fruits, coconut, nectarines in yoghurt, guava and a thick core of sweet cereals.
Thick and full on the palate, with an intense, unctuous creaminess, alongside dates, walnuts and peels. Good peach and coconut notes, and a little cinnamon.
Long finish, and very fruity with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg and hints of potpourri.
Basically disappointed...after reading so many good reviews I found it no better than the cask whiskies..I am a Jameson's lover...but for me...Black Barrel for the price is on par with the cheaper cask blends
Absolutely a whiskey to remember... in a very negative way. A bunch of chemistry, no depth at all. Slightly some hints of nothingness, and the spiceyness in the nose is simply not there in the mouth. Bad buy.
Might be my favourite Jameson. Great cross-over taste mixing elements of Bourbon together with Irish. A really lovely, interesting one I have returned to a few times.
First time for me with an Irish whiskey. Usually drink bourbon but the fact that it was aged in oak bourbon barrels caught my attention. Nice and light with good flavor. Will buy it again.
Best whiskey I've ever had just wish I could get it in bigger then 1L
