A single cask bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed Orkney distillery, bottled up by Crabbie. This one was distilled back in 1999 and initially aged in bourbon casks, before enjoying a finishing period in a Palo Cortado sherry cask. Crabbie is keeping tight-lipped about which distillery it came from, but considered there aren't all that many distilleries in Orkney, you've got a pretty good chance at guessing which one made it. Of course, you'll never know if you're right, but hey. That's life, y'know. Anyway, just 253 bottles of this one were produced.
Honey, waxy peels, peanut shells, wafts of woody smoke.
Vanilla latte, dried fruit, savoury hints of sea salt and smoky heather.
Espresso beans, fudge with raisins in it, a smidge of raspberry.
