The first batch of Joe Got a Gun Tennessee whiskey. 20 Private Barrels is selected from, yep, 20 different barrels. With a mash bill of 80% corn, 10% rye, and 10% malted barley, and charcoal filtered before maturation, it's a sweet and silky sipper.
Caramel corn, with toasted grain, and some oaky char.
Smooth vanilla fudge, some peppery spices, and hints of smoke.
A touch of clove, and drizzles of caramel.
Awful. I got a bottle because of the price, less than $8, and hoped for a steal. It is bottom shelf whiskey, not close to Jack, not anywhere near my go to budget Wild Turkey 101. Lacks flavor, bland, uneventful, not easy to drink.
