12 year old Irish single malt whiskey, produced for the Jack Ryan whiskey brand, which was revived in 2013 to celebrate the 100th birthday of Ryan's Beggars Bush pub in Dublin. The Ryan family has a history with whiskey bottling, though the distillery which they produced the whiskey in association with, closed in 1946. This is a 12 year old single malt, matured in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled without chill-filtration at 46% ABV.
We have been drinking whiskey for a good number of years. My friend and I believe that this is probably one of the best malt whiskies we have drunk. It has been well liked by everyone that has tried it.
I found this a little disappointing to say the least. I have had the bottle for c.6 months now and I am sure I will not be the one to finish it. The flavour is more akin to Scotch whisky which isn't to my taste.
