Jack Daniel's
Frank Sinatra was a long time fan of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and was often seen sipping a glass of it on stage while singing 'Fly Me To The Moon' or 'My Way'. He even kept a stash of the classic whiskey on his private plane to enjoy while on the way to his next show, which would certainly beat a plastic cup of warm wine any day.
Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select has been created in honour of this friendship with Old Blue Eyes. The bold, smooth qualities of the Sinatra Select come from the specially made Sinatra barrels in which part of the whiskey was aged. Deep grooves were cut into the staves of the casks, increasing the amount of exposure the whiskey had to the wood. It is then married with Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 and bottled at 45% abv, which is how Sinatra would have enjoyed it back in the day.
So put on a Sinatra LP, sip some Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select and raise a glass to the man with one of the best voices the world has ever known.
Soft honey, fresh apples and a bold oak note at the centre.
Yummy butterscotch notes which turn into yummier caramel notes, rich and warm. Hints of orange zest and a subtle smokiness.
Packed with vanilla and smooth as Sinatra's voice.
Frank could easily have been looking into the future at the Sinatra Select when he sung 'The Best Is Yet To Come', but it's here now for you to enjoy!
Based solely on product quality alone I think its a great addition to the Jack family that vastly surpasses the single barrels with improved balance and smoothness. Quality alone- 8.5 to 9 Now this second part is hard because I try not to review things with too heavy an emphasis on price but because this is so extremely out of whack I felt compelled. I really have a problem with the price. I got mine at $166 which is much less than the one listed here and even despite that I think its a ridiculous price. This stuff is quality no doubt but shouldn't even be sniffing the $150 range. Only buy this stuff if your sitting on a ton of money, a collector, or gifting it to someone who has been having a life long affair with Jack Daniels. Adjusted review based on product quality vs. price is a firm 6.5. There are just far too many bottles of equal or better quality to be had for MUCH less.
This was a recent gift and i would choose to buy again after tasting this. Wonderfully smooth although lacking the complexity of top single malts. The best JD i have tasted - I have a bottle of the Monogram stored away, it would be great to compare it to this
I believe it is better than any other Jack Daniel's on the market. I have heard others say the Single Barrel Select is better, but the oak mixing with the vanilla, butterscotch, and a hint of subtle smokiness is more appeasing to my palate.
I had this given to me as a gift for my 40th Birthday; it starts well balanced and goes down silky-smooth with a nice lingering taste. Definitely something to drink cleanly while enjoying a good cigar. A true tribute to Mr. Sinatra.
Best as Sinatra....
