Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey has been made at its Lynchburg distillery since 1875. The branding and original label, sometimes referred to as No. 7 or Black Label; has made its way into pop culture, with merchandise sold the world over and a history of association with music. Frank Sinatra was even buried with a bottle. The Tennessee whiskey makers use a mash bill made up of 80% corn, 12% rye, and 8% malt to create Jack Daniels whiskey, which is then filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal to produce a mellow, slightly smoky character. A method known as the Lincoln County Process, it means this is not a bourbon, but instead meets the legal definition of a Tennessee whiskey. Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel ( c. January 1849 – October 9, 1911) was an American distiller and businessman, best known as the founder of the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey distillery.
Light with plenty of sweetness. There are hints of dry spice and oily nuts, a touch of smoke.
Quite smooth and soft with notes of banana milkshake, a mixed nut note, a touch of caramel with crème anglaise.
Sweet with a little cereal sweetness and toasty oak.

I am a newbie. Yet, even if I tried some nice whiskies, like Glenfarclas 21, I am still able to make a difference from a good to a poor one, even if I cannot understand/taste at this moment, all the complexities. I drink as I was told by connaisseurs, and I liked the nose. But I really don't find this drink remarkable. The finish is really bad for me and I don't understand how this can be called a great whisky, even for its price. Adding just a very few $, you can have a Glenfiddich 12. Maybe I am not used to bourbon, maybe I prefer cherry casked ones. I am still curious to try the Single Barrem and/or the Silver Select.
Nope, not my taste.
I prefer this to JW Double Black, which is more expensive and IMO a failed product. JD is easier to drink (JW DB feels complex but takes you nowhere) less burn and a friendlier finish. The smell is very sweet, reminiscent of bananas and green apples, and could be a bit misleading. The taste is not exceptional but it is simple and straightforward and I can appreciate that. Giving it 5 stars makes no sense, and 1 star even less so.
Simple and accessible in Brazil. Has a good price, a pleasant flavor and as all say, combines well with Coca-Cola and coconut water. Those who criticize both should understand that each has a taste and the main, not everyone has money to exit buying everything to try!
There is simply no other wiskey. It's JD or nothing
