    Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey has been made at its Lynchburg distillery since 1875. The branding and original label, sometimes referred to as No. 7 or Black Label; has made its way into pop culture, with merchandise sold the world over and a history of association with music. Frank Sinatra was even buried with a bottle. The Tennessee whiskey makers use a mash bill made up of 80% corn, 12% rye, and 8% malt to create Jack Daniels whiskey, which is then filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal to produce a mellow, slightly smoky character. A method known as the Lincoln County Process, it means this is not a bourbon, but instead meets the legal definition of a Tennessee whiskey. Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel ( c. January 1849 – October 9, 1911) was an American distiller and businessman, best known as the founder of the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey distillery.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Light with plenty of sweetness. There are hints of dry spice and oily nuts, a touch of smoke.

    Palate

Quite smooth and soft with notes of banana milkshake, a mixed nut note, a touch of caramel with crème anglaise.

    Finish

Sweet with a little cereal sweetness and toasty oak.

    You could do better...

This is the first American Whiskey I've tried and indeed, my first time drinking Jack. I honestly don't think I'll be buying this again. It's not BAD but it has a strange taste and rough finish to it. Again– it's not bad, but I'd recommend getting a different whiskey for €30 :)

An Inferiority complex with Americans shouldn't downgrade a drinkable Whiskey.

Look at the post after: An iconic American made Whiskey. Best and most exspensive car wind screen washer fluid around ! This is the type of post that's infused with Anti Americanism. It's obvious this poster has an American inferiority complex!!

    An Iconic American made Whiskey!!

This use to be Franks drink. Frank Sinatra that is. He use to mix two parts Jack and one part water on 3 cubes of ice. Frank even called it: A true gentleman's drink. This is a great drink, and It's truly an iconic American made Whiskey as well: The best selling Whiskey in the World and synonymous with the American big mac. You get a taste of America in this drink. However, It's not the best tasting Whiskey you can buy. This is the kind of Whiskey that's good with a nice beer or cola. Hence, if you're looking to sniff the glass and play your smelling game, this isn't the type of Whiskey to do that. Jack is something you drink that's cheap, good, and gets the job done quick, like Wild turkey.

Best and most exspensive car wind screen washer fluid around !

Jack Daniels is so missleading. You get that lovely toffey honey caramel smell and when you taste it it lets it's self down so hard with its bitter and dry taste. It has such a lovely aroma hinting on that it is going to be sweet and caramel in flavour but it's NOT its foul and it's best use is in a cars wind screen or wind shield fluid for all you Americans so when you are driving and you turn on the spray jets or nozzles to wash the wind screen you get that lovely Jack daniels aroma but with non of the foul taste but it's a exspensive wind screen washer fluid so if you made the same mistake as I did buying this then that is one use for it !

    good mixer

Although im not one for mixing whiskies if I was too mix this would be a good choice, but neat the gentleman jack is much better but for that price you can get a good single malt, so depending on what U want this can be a decent choice.
