Islay Storm
C.S. James and Sons Ltd.
An Islay single malt from a secret distillery, Islay Storm has loads of peaty character.
Peat smoke, oily, briny, some malt.
Sweet rush initially, then onto medicinal peat and seaweed, some bourbon notes, spices, custard.
Smoke, long and spiced.

For Islay a disappointment and even considering the lower price.
Nothing like any other Islay malt. Not typical of the island: lacking in all of Islay's character, easily the most mediocre malt I have tasted.
Great value for the money. Starting with some different sweet tasts. Ending with salty, peaty and smokey flavours! Looks a bit similar like the Bruichladdich Waves.
nice peaty malt, not as sharp as some Islay malts, but unmistakable taste and different enough to be a great addition.
