Superb single grain Scotch from Invergordon, distilled in 1988 and matured for 34 years in a single ex-bourbon hogshead. In February 2022, the cask was cracked open by House of Macduff, releasing a total of 266 bottles for The Golden Cask collection.
Fruit crisps, buttery popcorn, and milky coffee, with a dash of burnt sugar.
Creamy grain leads the way, with soft peach and vanilla custard. Sweet spices follow, with zesty herbs nestling in the depths.
Maple syrup, nutty caramel, orange zest, and creamy milk chocolate.
