Inchmurrin 12 Bottling Note

This was distilled at the Loch Lomond distillery and aged for 12 years before bottling. This comes with new packaging and is really rather good.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Creamy sweet cereals and allspice. Hints of toffee apples and pear drops. A little caramel and furniture polish.

Palate: Smooth, rich palate entry with barley malt and salt caramel. Dried herbs, candied peels and allspice.

Finish: Medium-long finish. Spicy.

User Reviews of the Inchmurrin 12 Year Old

The nose for me is all pear drops with the freshness of a frosty winter morn with a touch of antifreeze. Palate is rich and thick, the non chill filtering coming into effect perhaps? Salty and spicy quite unexpectedly based on the nose which suggests lightness. Long finish of dried herbs and pepper, almost heathery. Really rather good, I just wish the bottle wasn't so tall and then it would fit in the cabinet...
