Inchgower 16 Year Old 2008 (Tri Carragh)
Distilled in 2008 and re-racked in 2023 into a first-fill bourbon barrel, this 16-year-old Speyside single malt from Inchgower shows just how indulgent refill bourbon ageing can be. One of only 221 bottles, it layers rich vanilla sweetness with bright orchard fruit and gentle spice, all wrapped in Inchgower’s signature coastal freshness.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Big vanilla to start, followed by buttercream, peach, orange zest, and fresh-cut grass with hints of toffee apple.
Palate
Creamy vanilla leads again, joined by tropical notes of cantaloupe melon dusted with Demerara sugar, cinnamon, and green cardamom.
Finish
Smooth and moreish, easing into vanilla fudge, sponge cake, and caramel-drizzled ice cream when water’s added.
