One of the first single malts from Fife's innovative InchDairnie distillery! This heavily peated single malt spent five years maturing in bourbon casks, followed by another three in amontillado sherry casks, bringing refined notes of almonds and tobacco to the rich smoke at its core.
First impressions are what a beautiful tin and what a great bottle. The nose was pleasant immediately with very subtle fragrances of soft wood and warm herbs. The taste was very smooth with plenty of almond.
