From Highland Park's travel retail Warrior series comes Einar, a bold, intense dram which has been matured mostly in American oak casks. It's packed with smoky peat, sweet vanilla, and subtle tropical fruit notes, culminating in a long, well-balanced finish of smoke and sweetness. This entry in the Warrior series is named after Einar, who once ruled over Orkney, where the Highland Park distillery resides.

I didn't expect much from this NAS but I was surprised. Very tasty, good quality for the money.

Took a bottle to our Highland Ball here in NZ not a drop left out of ten different Malts that were on the table. Speaks volumes for the Whisky, as all in attendance agreed.
Well balanced, little bit peppery in the beginning. Same solid delicious and Rich flavor of HP 12 plus a great and long lasting peatey sweat taste. Would stick with HP 12, but would actually buy again at a duty free.
