    Single Malt

    Highland Park Dragon Legend

An altogether smokier-than-normal addition to the Highland Park range, Dragon Legend shows off their peaty elements cleanly and clearly, alongside sweeter hints from the sherry-cask-matured portion of the expression.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Cut grass, roasted vanilla pod and a hint of mulled wine.

    Palate

A robust core of heather-y, earthy smoke arrive straight away, with peppercorn, mince pie and oily malt in tow.

    Finish

Notes of dried citrus and toasted barley linger, but the finish doesn't drag on too long (get it?).

If you would like to try stronger peaty whisky, but we're afraid, try this. Beautiful

This is not a whisky for the faint hearted, but it has, in my opinion, the right blend of peat and fruit flavours to make this a lovely balanced scotch.

    Just buy the 12 year

Tasted it along side the Highland park 12 year. I couldnt really tell the difference. Save the money and buy the 12 year

    Dark

    Not for rookies very intense

I would not buy again to be honest.

I've just purchased this as was on offer for £30. The flavour is good, had good depth and has a nice amount of smoke but, it's quite harsh. I find it a bit of a tounge burner. I was sampled next to Jura journey, Jura seven, cardhu gold reserve and all were a smoother drink.

    Ever changing

The nose is beautifully complex and different each time, mainly vanilla and fruitcakes, the palate is a delight sweet yet a subtle smokeyness creeps in like a burnt marshmallow, the finish is medium with a strong taste of dried apricots with a subtle hint of salted caramel
