An altogether smokier-than-normal addition to the Highland Park range, Dragon Legend shows off their peaty elements cleanly and clearly, alongside sweeter hints from the sherry-cask-matured portion of the expression.
Cut grass, roasted vanilla pod and a hint of mulled wine.
A robust core of heather-y, earthy smoke arrive straight away, with peppercorn, mince pie and oily malt in tow.
Notes of dried citrus and toasted barley linger, but the finish doesn't drag on too long (get it?).
Best thing you can say is its better than HP 12. But thats not sayin much
Robust smoky taste really recomend to those who like a an earthy taste
Absolutely top notch, a lovely dram but not too overpowering either.
Instant wow factor. Better than a lot of whiskeys at double the money
Very different. Instant sweetness, followed by smokiness swelling in. But all over a bit quickly for me. Nice alternative to more rounded, longer, fiery malts - wouldn't get through much of the bottle in one sitting though.
