Behold - the seventh batch of Highland Park bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! They've managed to get their hands on a stunning 26 year old single malt from the Orkney-based distillery, and bottled it up at 50.2% ABV. Charlemange isn't simply throwing his bloomers up in a tree in front of the Maltstock 2012 crew in celebration - he's doing it for good luck apparently (though this one is worth celebrating!).
Batch 7 is a release of 598 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Pear tart, heather honey and brandy butter, with fresh ginger and a touch of sea salt.
Hot chocolate, lemon peel and earthy peat, then developing hints of oak char and cigar box.
Lavender, mint leaf and a little baking spice and soft smoke.

This is an amazing whisky. Sure, it’s not cheap, but it’s incredible drinkable, even neat despite it’s ABV. Try and get it on a flash deal since it’s only a 50cl bottle. Definitely the best Highland Park I’ve had.
Stunning stuff. Keeping it simple: there's a little smoke, mild toffee and a touch of stewed fruit, all as you'd expect from HP. What's amazing is the depth, the length and the structure. It manages to have lots of power alongside a lightness of touch. I happily sip it neat, which is unusual at this 50.2% strength. It is, of course, absurdly expensive, but I'm already thinking about my next bottle. (I bought this on flash sale at about £225)
Smoky, sherry, with drop of water it evolve flora, mouth coating lingering long
This is one tasty whisky. Seeing my HP25 depleting makes me a little sad until I found this gem. Got it when it was on flash sales and am I glad I jumped on it! If you like Highland Park this is a can’t miss. Just the right amount of smoke and that heather honey smell just makes my mouth water instantly.
To be honest, I'm not a big HP fan, but this whisky is simply amazing. Porobably the best HP what I ever tried.
