Initially released for the Danish market, Highland Park Saxo is a 15 Year Old single malt distilled in 2003. It was matured in a first fill American oak sherry puncheon for its entire ageing period, eventually bottled in 2018. An outturn of 605 bottles were released for The Founders Series at 59.8% ABV, and the bottle even comes with a handy hessian bag to store it in!
Marzipan, smoky heather, new leather and Brazil nuts.
Orange oil and cooked pear, with continued smoky wafts and nutty malt. A kick of oak spices give it some heat.
Honeyed and toasty.

Yea - not bad, bought one But preferred the 14 Yo also cask strength And it was a few quid cheaper. Kirkwall whisky bar in Orkney charges £32 a nip for this ! !
