This rye whiskey is made at Kentucky's Green River distillery, which has roots that trace back to 1885 and was recently revived in 2022. This whiskey boasts a mash bill of 95% rye with 5% malted barley, and is bottled at a generous 47.5% ABV for bold, characterful sipper, packed with peppery warmth, spearmint, and orange peel.
Rich layers of charred oak and peppercorn spice, with cinnamon snaps, butterscotch, and a touch of fresh mint.
Zesty notes of dried orange peels and more of that minty freshness, with oaken vanilla and spiced, slightly burnt biscuits.
The rye spices linger, with hints of herbal tea and mellow oak.
