A blended whisky from Glenfiddich's owner William Grant & Sons. The whisky was finished in strong Edinburgh ale casks, very malty.
The nose is of medium-body and quite smooth, there are some herbal notes and a little sweetness, something vegetal lurks. The palate is of medium-body and well-balanced. The cask notes are subtle but present, there are some gentle vegetal notes with a hoppy note, there are fudge notes with barley. The finish is of good length with floral honey notes.

Непоганий бленд! Самий кращий із сімейки Грантс.
Since 1987 I have purchased and enjoyed Grant's as my way of relaxing but with the loss of the Millennium and 18 y/o Ale Cask line, they have lost the what made them stand out. They were; for the price; the best blended whisky's on the market. Now, instead of the bottom line being quality, it's profit. So for the past 10 years, give or take a few, I have been purchasing Glenlivet 18 y/o and have been pleased. I recently found an old case of the Family Reserve Gold Label (12 y/o large oval) at a small local bar. They were clearing out their cellar of old promotional items and I saw the case in the corner. For $50 I acquired the case since he said he hasn't sold any in over 10 years. Now finding this case, I will enjoy what's left of the best of what Grant's had to offer.
The Ultimate smooth finish of Grant's truly beyond belief.
the nose seems to promise something the taste fails to deliver, but still a very interesting tipple.
good finish
