The 2024 edition of The Glenturret Triple Wood is a mellow, fruity and sweet whisky taken from the Highland distillery's ever-evolving maturing stocks that were aged in American and European oak sherry seasoned casks alongside bourbon barrels - hence Triple Wood.
Vanilla toffee with soft maltiness, citrus and pear drops slowly open.
Sweet wood spices, ginger and cinnamon.
Honeyed fruits and lighter oak enter near the finish.
A lovely little tour through the best of the Highlands - the triple wood business does its magic, and the faintly chocolatey fruity finish ends the evening nicely. Enjoy.
