Ruadh Maor 11 Year Old 2010 (cask 50) - The Whisky Cellar
An independently bottled single malt from the Glenturret Distillery, released under the Ruadh Maor name – which means you can expect some smoky brilliance from this one, as that's the name Glenturret uses for its peated spirit. This one was distilled in 2010 and bottled after 11 years of maturation in a refill sherry butt, before being bottled up by the Whisky Cellar for its third series of bottlings. 719 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Savoury smoke with hints of BBQ meats and roasted oak, with a dusting of cinnamon.
Palate
Still packed with peat, slightly sweetened by hints of chocolate raisin.
Finish
Peppery on the finish, with burnt ends and oak stave smokiness.
