Wine Cask
A 26 year old single malt from the Glenturret distillery, independently bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftain's range. This was distilled in October 1990 and finished in a Madeira wine cask before being bottled with an outturn of 168 bottles in June 2017.
Oily barley leading into notes of lacquered oak and new leather. Waves of freshly picked berry notes develop.
A hearty kick of Christmas-y spice as it opens, with layers of chocolate and cedar following.
Lingering ginger, caramel and strawberry.
