A smouldering sipper from Glenturret, this is its 10 Year Old Peat Smoked expression! It comes from the same stills as its unpeated spirit, and this one is full of smoky florals and citrus, bottled at 50% ABV.
Nougat and peat smoke, with flamed lemon peel and bittersweet chocolate.
Toasted malt and more lemon, with singed heather shrouded by bonfire embers and oily smoke.
Burnt oak and salted caramel.

Really going well with the sweet smoke and a hint of vanilla. After taste of several characteristics is like a perfectly made blend rather than just a single malt. Must try for all peat lovers.
Visited the distillery a month back. Sampled 2 whiskies. The triple wood & the peat smoked. Triple wood was divine but this was a completely different dram. More for an occasion perhaps but still a damn good dram.
Sweet smoke with hints of burned citrus peel.. overall I find this very pleasant and bought a full size bottle after buying the sampler set from the Glenturret Distillery. I personally found this more interesting than the 12 and 15 year old for the price. I don’t think it’s fair to compare this to any islay malt as it lacks the maritime saltiness often identifies with whisky’s from that region. However an overall pleasant Smokey sweetness sits on the tongue ?
Imho, it does not better Ardmore TRADITIONAL
Delightful...underlying soicy sweetness with smoky bacon peat coming through...add water and it changes to more mainstream..almost Islay..a whisky of two halves..
