Glentauchers 21 Year Old 1996 (Master of Malt)

Distilled at Glentauchers in 1996, this single malt spent the following 21 years maturing before it was independently bottled by none other than yours truly! Layered with decadent notes of buttery barley, marmalade, and subtle oak spice, it makes a superb addition to our exclusive Master of Malt collection. A release of just 36 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Chocolate and caramel digestive biscuits and nutty malt lead to juicy red apples and stewed berries, with waves of toasted oak and vanilla in support.

    Palate

Soft prunes and buttery fudge lead to zesty orange marmalade and flamed peels. Peppery oak crackles beneath, with a touch of herbaceous barley in the distance.

    Finish

Vanilla custard, buttered toast, a touch of root ginger and nutmeg, and subtle flinty minerality.
