Here is the 5th batch of Glentauchers single malt independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, which was matured for 17 years before being bottled. The label hints towards Glentauchers' history with 'silent malt', which is malt whisky made in a column still. Back in the day people thought it was going to be a big thing... It was not.
Batch 5 is a release of 191 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Pears and apples, with waves of honey and a waft of floral barley.
Festive notes of cinnamon appear first, followed once again by fresh apple fruitiness. Peppery oak and a touch of cut grass.
Waxy peels, hay and Dairy Milk chocolate.
