Sherry
From the Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited independent bottling range comes a ten year old Glentauchers single malt Scotch whisky. It was distilled in 2011 and eventually bottled in 2022 after maturing in Pedro Ximénez sherry butts. A release of 1,641 bottles.
Thick cut Seville orange marmalade on toast, with dense raisin and milk chocolate in support.
Earthy barley and a smidge of tobacco, balanced by rich sherried sweetness.
Still packing plenty of sherried notes, now with cinnamon and nutmeg building.
Chocolate, fruitcake, vanilla poached oranges, caramel. This is an outstanding dram, an other outstanding bottling from Càrn Mòr
