This rather smart bottle of 18-year-old Glenrothes was released by Dràm Mòr as part of its fifth birthday celebrations in 2024. The single malt matured in a first-fill oloroso sherry hogshead, yielding a total of 330 bottles, without added colour or chill filtration.
That Spanish sun dried fruits are there in abundance smothering the warm Spanish oak it has been wedded to for all these years.
Oh boy! The most luxurious and sumptuous of Sherry bombs. This is so moreish you will need to hide the bottle. Sweet stewed dried fruit and nut, chocolate and ginger and cinnamon dance across the tastebuds. A touch of old leather and alcohol soaked prunes.
This is going to stay with you for an age! Delightful, playful and warming its way to the tip of your toes.
