A great Glenrothes single malt Scotch whisky here, independently bottled as part of the Darkness range. This one was allowed to mature for 12 years, and that included a finishing period in specially-coopered Oloroso sherry octave casks, which has helped to impart oodles of sherried deliciousness to this Speysider.

Loads of dried fruit notes develop on the palate – dates and raisins galore! A subtly oaky waft sits in the background.
