    Single Malt

Clove-Studded Oranges 25 Year Old 1996 - Wemyss Malts (Glenrothes)

This fabulous single cask single malt from Glenrothes was independently bottled by Wemyss Malts. Distilled in 1996 and aged in a first fill sherry hogshead for a generous 25 years, it's brimming with fruit and spice, and everything nice – in case the name hasn't given that away. With an outturn of 194 bottles at 48.8%, this is a fantastic find for lovers of full-flavoured, fruity drams.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Sticky marmalade, with sherry soaked raisins and warm baking spices.

    Palate

Sherry sweetness with dried vine fruits, oily citrus peel, dark brown sugar, cloves, and warming cinnamon.

    Finish

The dried fruits linger, alongside warming spices and, yes, clove-studded oranges.
