“Once again, Bill Lumsden and his team have created something special in honor of something special. This expression is very basic in terms of maturation and finishing but the result is a delicious spirit. Classic 'morangie with palate overtones of citrus and demerara sugar, and a mixture of hazelnuts, brazil nuts and walnuts mixed with creamy toffee/caramel on the finish. Very pleased this is bottled above 40%abv. Definitely worth a try.”

Released at the start of 2016 for the Travel Retail market, The Tayne from Glenmorangie has been finished in selected Amontillado Sherry casks!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Almonds and walnuts, covered in caramel and brown sugar. A little hint of ground clove brings spiciness.

Palate

Orange oil starts off the palate, before giving way to brown sugar and more mixed nuts.

Finish

Quite long and spicy.
