Released at the start of 2016 for the Travel Retail market, The Tayne from Glenmorangie has been finished in selected Amontillado Sherry casks!
Almonds and walnuts, covered in caramel and brown sugar. A little hint of ground clove brings spiciness.
Orange oil starts off the palate, before giving way to brown sugar and more mixed nuts.
Quite long and spicy.

Excellent.
Delicious. Picked up a bottle in duty free on vacation. I may have to go back just to get another!
Being ex royal fleet auxiliary I always drank Gin (Pink) I recently started to drink whisky, I was given a bottle of Glenmorangie which I found excellent, however I was recently on a cruise and was offered a discount on a bottle of Glenmorangie THE TAYNE, this is undoubtedly th finest drink I have ever tried, it is expensive but I do make it last
Lifted spirit on the nose with distinct Amontillado notes - Lasanta has similarly recognisable Oloroso. Not as fine as others in the Glenmorangie stable. The palate is medium and, again, slightly spiritous. Not overly long or complex. In truth, I find the 'standard' 10 year old more interesting
Absolutely worth the buy. A little spicy but smooth. Nice finish.
