Released at the start of 2016 for the Travel Retail market, The Tayne from Glenmorangie has been finished in selected Amontillado Sherry casks!
Almonds and walnuts, covered in caramel and brown sugar. A little hint of ground clove brings spiciness.
Orange oil starts off the palate, before giving way to brown sugar and more mixed nuts.
Quite long and spicy.

Loved it, sad it's all gone now.
Bought a one L bottles at Changi for $69. A fabulous deal for an excellent LVMH Glenmorangie. After being disappointed with the underdone Lasanta and Quinta Ruban, which sear the throat with raw honey, the Nectar D'Or was a pleasant change. Even so, the Tayne is streets ahead.
Great single malt but no age mentioned.
A very fine whisky. If you like a touch of spice to your scotch, this is one to get.
Somewhat underwhelming in my opinion. Rather one dimensional and somewhat harsh. It has some interesting notes of caramel but it does slap you around the room, even with some water added. Not a bad whisky but nothing to write home about.
