The Duthac comes from Glenmorangie's range of expressions originally released for the Travel Retail market. This particular single malt, name after St. Duthac whose resting place sits at the centre of the Royal Burgh of Tain, has been part finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry and virgin oak casks before being bottled at 43% ABV. Plenty of rich, mellow elements throughout this one (as you'd expect from Glenmorangie), with touches of sticky PX sweetness and herb-y spiciness.

I recently purchased this bottle, at the first i did not like the taste as its very flavourful and complex in taste. but as you start taking it and keep exploring you get connected with that taste of it which is actually beautiful. it is very smooth and same time gives you a early kick due to having 43%.
The Original 10 year is good, the extra matured range is great and the Dornoch and the Midwinter Night's Dram were lovely, also. As for the 18 year Extremely Rare ...well! This is right up there... Big and complex and I'm eager for the next. Bring it on, Glenmorangie!
For the price I would give a 4 and a half. The flavours open up more as you sit on the drink. Lots of depth and complexity as layers of tasty components come through. Happy with the purchase.
Didn't expect a duty free purchase to be so good. Sweet notes - excellent with a splash of water
Perfect filling for my taste and space at 6pm
