“I'm a fan of the Glenmorangie 10 year old Original. Some whisky that is stated as being strong in flavour can take a few drams to get along with. Some NAS bottles are just fancy marketed, sherry casked harsh young spirit that strips the lining off your nose and gums. Not this! This is a quality product and I was left not caring what age it was. The nose was delightful from the start and the taste (helped with a drop of water) didn't disappoint. This has all the nice buttery sweet honey you'd expect from Glenmorangie but with extra sherry, golden syrup and oak flavours. Very nice indeed.”

Description
The Duthac comes from Glenmorangie's range of expressions originally released for the Travel Retail market. This particular single malt, name after St. Duthac whose resting place sits at the centre of the Royal Burgh of Tain, has been part finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry and virgin oak casks before being bottled at 43% ABV. Plenty of rich, mellow elements throughout this one (as you'd expect from Glenmorangie), with touches of sticky PX sweetness and herb-y spiciness.
