Glenmorangie
Scotland
Single Malt

Part of Glenmorangie’s Prestige Range, this 18 year old spent its first 15 years in American white oak bourbon casks. After this time, 30% was transferred to Oloroso sherry casks where it spent its final days, as the rest remained in bourbon casks. After 18 years has passed in total, the whisky was reunited and bottled at 43% ABV. A thick, creamy and fruity single malt Scotch whisky presented in a wonderfully elegant bottle. It certainly looks prestigious.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Creamy and tangy notes of citrus, cinnamon, stewed fruits and caramel-drizzled pannacotta.
The palate is tropical and creamy with nectarines in yoghurt, acacia honey, peaches in cream and butterscotch.
Ends on tangy oak and grilled grapefruit with plenty of dark sugar caramelised on top…

Amazing!! Best one i ever tasted!
Once upon a snowboard trip someone forced me to accept their expensive bday present drink, and I've never forgotten the drug that turned me. Sweet and delicious it was, compared to what my naive self though of as 'whisky'. Twenty eighteen re-take, nearly two decades later. The MoM tasting notes are spot on, but what it misses is impact -- this needs 46% or 48% bottling strength, with no doubt in my mind. The balance of oak (and generally lack of spice) and fruit is made for consumers who think 'smooth' is a god, that, once uttered, makes them knowledgeable. It's smooth, but an 18 yr cask strength would be glorious. Here's to all glory, former or future.
One of the best single malt scotch i’ve tasted
Amazing. Never liked whiskey before. it was always to "burny" and rough to drink. Glenmorangie 18 yo taught me what a good single malt should taste like. Since then, nothing else will do.
Absolutely fabulous Not mine but wonderful
