Glenmorangie
Scotland
Single Malt
Part of Glenmorangie’s Prestige Range, this 18 year old spent its first 15 years in American white oak bourbon casks. After this time, 30% was transferred to Oloroso sherry casks where it spent its final days, as the rest remained in bourbon casks. After 18 years has passed in total, the whisky was reunited and bottled at 43% ABV. A thick, creamy and fruity single malt Scotch whisky presented in a wonderfully elegant bottle. It certainly looks prestigious.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Creamy and tangy notes of citrus, cinnamon, stewed fruits and caramel-drizzled pannacotta.
The palate is tropical and creamy with nectarines in yoghurt, acacia honey, peaches in cream and butterscotch.
Ends on tangy oak and grilled grapefruit with plenty of dark sugar caramelised on top…

Bought a bottle for my 50th. Only one that bhas ever lasted more than 6 months! One to savour. Couldn't resist getting another!
Received a bottle as a Christmas present from my wife. I am new to whisky and still learning to enjoy it but i find it exceptionally smooth and a pleasure to drink
Glenmorangie 18 is one of my favorite drams, it is exceptionally well balanced, it has citrus/orange in the nose, arrives in a clean, complex explosion of flavors, leading with a note of citrus. It develops on the tongue and leaves a clean, dry and long finish. One of the few single malts that lasts in my glass for a long time as it continuous to deliver long after you have swallowed it. Simply divine. Sadly the Corona virus hit as I was about to do a whiskey tour of Scotland, now I can only hope to one day go back to enjoy the climate, the people, the landscape and the Glenmorangie 18...
At times we are left without words. At times words can't describe. At times words won't do..at times glenmorangie 18 says it all without words.
I took it upon myself to have a tasting alongside a Glenfiddich 15 Old Solero; Glenlivet 18; a Glenmorangie 18 and a Hibiki Master's Select (which you can sadly no longer get). This won for me and came a close second for my wife who preferred the smokiness of the Hibiki. Delicious and so very smooth, almost to the point of being too smooth for a philistine like myself. A close call between this and The Glenlivet, and this wins for presentation and price.
