Single Malt
Scotland
A superbly characterful single malt from Glenlossie here, matured for 31 years in the industry standard hogshead, and saved from an eternity in storage by the folks at Forgotten Gems. No batch is too small for the Forgotten Gems gang, working tirelessly to bottle up small portions of whisky that might otherwise never see the light of day. There are 64 bottles in this batch, and something about its character makes us think it would go exceedingly well with a cheese board...
Butter biscuits and vanilla custard open the way for layers of white chocolate, pastry, buttered brioche, toffee, tinned peaches, and mellow old oak.
Soft and superbly creamy, with notes of toffee ripple ice cream and white chocolate pralines, buttery madeleines, delicate honey, and prunes.
Fragrant orchard fruits and elegant estery, yeasty funk linger with gentle oak, caramel, and chewy, juicy barley.
