Glenlossie 20 Year Old 1997 (casks 7109 & 7110) - Chieftain's (Ian Macleod)

A Chieftain's bottling of 20-Year-Old single malt Scotch from the excellent Glenlossie distillery. It was distilled in November 1997 and allowed to mature in hogshead casks until April 2018, when it was bottled by Ian Macleod at 52.1% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Crystallised ginger, sweet vanilla and just a hint of citrus form among grassy malt.

Palate

Green apples and pears are covered in warm honey and melted butter, with a slightly tannic underlay.

Finish

Chopped oak and ground spices remain.
