From the 7th release of Kilkerran Work In Progress single malt Scotch whisky distilled by Glengyle in the Campbeltown region comes a cask strength expression matured in bourbon wood and bottled at a robust 54.1% ABV.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Deep Copper 54.1% abv. A rich & fairly viscous whisky with good body and richness. Very sweet Offered velvet notes on the nose. Changes in complexity on both Nose & Palatte when rested were enjoyed. Character - Apple Vanilla Butter Cream Bourbon Leather. Its finish was complex and lovely dry finish. Looking forward to tasting it alongside recently purchased Kilkerran Work In Progress 7th Release - Sherry Wood.
My first taste from this distillery and what a great surprise. The nose is tropical with a hint of ocean spray. It starts with coconut, lemon zest and a long smooth finish. I liked it so much I will go to Scotland just to visit their distillery. I look forward to more.
