An incredible single malt Scotch whisky from the Glengoyne Distillery, which has been matured for 50 years! After half a century of slumber, this whisky was bottled up at 45.7% ABV, and presented in a particularly stylish decanter, alongside an equally snazzy wood-and-gold presentation box. Within that box you'll also find a 25ml sample of the whisky, so you can keep the full bottle sealed while still tasting the brilliant spirit. Only 150 of these decanters were produced.
Demerara sugar, walnuts, sweet pipe tobacco, red apples and cloves.
Rich, spicy oak burst, then molasses, treacle and liquorice take centre stage.
The finish is long, going through savoury characteristics into a tingle of black pepper.
