Glengoyne 17 Year Old 2001 Single Cask (Master of Malt)

Bask in the glow of Glengoyne with this splendid single malt. We know it's splendid – we selected and bottled it ourselves! Distilled in 2001, the whisky spend its entire 17-year maturation hanging out in an ex-oloroso sherry butt... We're kinda jealous, why don't they make sherry butts for humans to grow old in? Disgorged in 2018, a total of 119 bottles have been released as part of our Single Cask range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Hefty layers of buttered pastry, warm caramel, and nutty, sherried oak open the way for heaps of dried winter fruit. Warming spices creep alongside a touch of cedar.

    Palate

Spiced Christmas cake with a good layer of toasted marzipan leads to darker forest fruits and pressed berries. Plum tart and candied oranges join, keeping things fruity.

    Finish

Toffee raisins, more dustings of woody spice with a drying finish.
