Completely unpeated (unusual in the highlands), this Glengoyne is soft, fruity and very quaffable. A fine single malt!
Toffee apples, a little acacia honey, nectarine in syrup and spice, supported by toasted barley in the background.
Over-ripe grapes, honeyed with hints of vanilla, coconut milk and oak spice. Light touches of chocolate ice-cream.
Long, oily finish with lingering coffee notes.

I have tried the 18 and the 10 year old but found this to be more distinctive. It is lovely neat. Even better with oatcakes and cheese. Well that is my preference. Def in my top 10
This is what i think is have done me to a whisky drinking man. Nearly the best 12yo you can get.
One of the best 12yr old malts around and definitely my favorite. Made even better with dark chocolate (70%)
ive been a great fan of Glengoyne for some 10 years. The 12 yr old is my favourite. The sherry cask comes through, and it's clean & fresh. Best neat, although during summer evenings a piece of ice (small) chills it and it's so sweet and smooth.
Bought a bottle at the local Waitrose and plan to go back for another to give to my son on his birthday. Perfect with clear water.
