Sweet and fruity, dusty and elegant, lovely whisky, the sherry is noticeable.
Having visited he distillery I have a soft spot for Glengoyne but was dissapointed with this bottle. Harsh and unrewarding. The 10 is a lot more enjoyable in my view. The 15 is very good from memory.
Had the 10 previously and think the 12 just has the edge, lovely nose and palate, and I’m slightly bias here as it’s my local distillery!
Unremarkable. Average whisky with no bite or subtle aftertaste
Been looking at trying this distillery for a while and went for the 12 base on other reviews here suggesting its the one to go for. Not dissapointed. Fruity sweetness followed by honey on the nose and palate. Totally get the oily mothfeel but not in a clogging way, more of a lighter luxury texture. Finishes with peppery spice into smooth coffe. Didnt get the coconut but have the ret of the bottle to enjoy finding it. Well worth the price tag.
