A soft, sweet 10 year old single malt from the Glengoyne distillery and a winner of a Gold Medal at the 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Slightly herbal, big bourbon influence which has brought a wonderful "high note". White milk bottle sweets, more creamy than fruity.
Barley rich, more bourbon influence. Clean and dry.
Long, barley rich, touch of hoi sin.
Tried this whiskey at the whiskey festival in Birmingham, obviously many different distilleries on show but for value and taste just my personal favourite
Very well balanced whisky, long flavours and satisfying finish. Plenty of warmth to hit the spot and no smoky or peatiness. My taste buds pick up hint of orange zest which is very refreshing. Fantastic value for money
Sick as a dog, drank tea after tea with cbd and said the hell with it, let's try a new whiskey and shake this flue once and for all. After a few sips I started to exit that hell like feeling of misery. Amazing taste profile, like sweet apple jelly in the belly with some butterscotch /toffee finish. Something magical about aged single malts, relieves my worst agonies. Last time I had hives and one glass of Glenfiddich 15 and they were gone.
I love it ..in Cape town it's the perfect summer whisky. Light soft a bit unctuous too. The 12 however is just superb
Fresh floral, malty, apples and some nuttiness. quite well balanced with a little sweetness finishing in a shortish malty and spicy finish. very nice for age and price.
