Part of Glenglassaugh's return, which despite changes of ownership looks set to be a triumphant one if Evolution is anything to go by. This Highland single malt Scotch whisky matured in Tennessee whiskey barrels that used to contain George Dickel.
First time of drinking, fruity, smooth a lovely to drink. It’s not cheap,I think it’s worth it. Definitely buy another bottle, these days drop of water or even small ice cubes ?
2014 when I first came across it - saw its box in the Pot Still bar in Glasgow. Was fascinated by its colour, and very happy with its taste. Had some in good company for my birthday shortly after - fond memories, which I need to rekindle when I can! Sorry no tasting notes.
It's superb as good as whisky 3 times it's price ... my absolute find of 2019. Does anyone else get a bit of coconut in there somewhere?
It is not bad by any means. Just young. The nose is fresh. The arrival is promising, but the development and finishing is one dimensional and short. Lack of complexity in a nutshell. Hope to taste a 10-12 years old version. The distillery should be ready to put that out, isn’t it?
Excellent whisky. Smooth soft taste.
