A glorious single malt from Glenglassaugh, distilled in 2014 and matured for eight years, starting off in American oak before finishing in an ex-Port cask, hence that tremendous hue! The whisky was independently bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. in 2022, releasing a total of 360 bottles for The Cooper's Choice collection.
Sticky ginger cake, steeped cherries, and cooked plums with elegant woody spice in tow.
Juicy raisins and chocolate Brazil nuts lead, joined by orange zest and redcurrants before bold barley kicks in.
Burnt sugar and leathery oak finish things off, with charred red fruits and distant bonfire cinders.
