An intriguing (and incredibly long-aged) single malt from Glenglassaugh, presented as part of their Rare Cask Release Batch 3. It was distilled in June 1975 and enjoyed a finishing period in a Sauternes hogshead before being bottled in November 2016. At 41 years of age, this is very special stuff indeed. Just 177 bottles were produced.
Hints of wild honey, white pepper spice, yellow pear, apricot preserve and barley sugars.
Caramelised orchard fruits, warm oak, cinnamon spice, grape skin and rich sweet barley.
