    Glenglassaugh Revival

This is the first chance to try whisky produced by the recently re-opened Glenglassaugh Distillery.

It was closed in 1986 but resumed production in 2008. This revival bottling is the first whisky to be made at the distillery since it reopened. Matured in a mixture of first and refill bourbon casks, this was finished for 6 months in first-fill oloroso sherry butts.

i believe it tastes as if it comes from Glenfarclas

I've been drinking Bourbon for years and live close to a Long Island Winery there's always wine in my house and lots of it a Friend turned me onto a Bottle of Glenlivet 12, then 15 then 18 then 21 I have tried a lot of different distillery's and tastes from sweet to peaty,, and well this takes right to thoughts of Dessert Wine, the nose is amazing brings in that caramel toffee immediately and keeps it there throughout my mouth full I'm not an expert but I enjoy good spirits that Are flavorful from Lagavulin with a cigar to Glenmorangie Quinta ruban port , I like Glenfarclas 25, and Glendronach 12/18/21 are phenomenal ,, this is the company I place this Glenglassaugh Revival in

Pretty darned good for young stuff!

Opened the bottle up and tried it for the first time last night. Considering how young this it is really incredible. Creamy with richness, raisin and nut. Very smooth and no bite.

    Brilliant

Wow now this is one of the better bottles I have bought as of late this stuff is fantastic. First off natural color, non chill filtered and bottled at 46% thank you Glenglassaugh I know this will be good before I even take a sip. Nose is burnt sugar with sherry and a hint of coastal breeze but the flavor is very rich indeed so much raisin/caramel with deep charred oak and bitter dark chocolate and a hint of cinnamon spice this is gorgeous stuff so much flavor with a nice long finish as well there must be some fairly old whisky in this. Confused as to whether or not it's a Speyside or a Highland but regardless this is really a great find definitely recommend this one. Cheers! The Sugarbear
