Released as a Travel Retail exclusive alongside two other Glenfiddich Cask Collection bottlings, the Reserve Cask focusses on the Sherried side of this Speyside distillery's output. This rich, handsomely sweet expression is matured in Spanish Sherry casks before being married in a Solera vat.
This is a 1 litre bottling.
Waxy peels, marmalade and Christmas-y clove warmth. Vanilla, raisin and a touch of dark chocolate.
Christmas spice up front, joined by fresh lemon, chewy barley, almonds and a little old oak.
Long, with a good balance of sweet citrus and oak spices.
Easy to drink good after dinner.
Smooth and sweet, worth the money but this distillery produces much finer examples than this 4/5
Very easy to drink. It's a super light whisky in my opionion. Thats' all.
yummy, maybe not exactly the same as 15yo Solera, but definitely worth the money
...it is also a NAS whisky, ie. not having the statement how old it is. For all these reasons go for 15yo edition, a sherry beauty within the Glenfiddich range:)))
